Making its New Zealand debut, the Outback Wilderness is the most adventure-ready and capable Subaru yet.
Powered exclusively by a 2.4-litre turbocharged Subaru Boxer engine producing 194kW and 382Nm, Wilderness combines strong performance with 240mm of ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles and specially tuned suspension with electronically controlled dampers.
Combined with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and X-Mode, it has been engineered with challenging terrain and New Zealand adventures firmly in mind.
A Bold New Look
The seventh-generation Outback has been completely redesigned with a stronger, more traditional SUV profile.
A more upright front end, increased height and width, redesigned LED lighting and bolder exterior styling give the latest Outback a confident new presence while retaining the rugged character the model is known for.

The new Outback also introduces a significant technology upgrade.
An all-new 12.1-inch horizontal infotainment touchscreen features wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, while a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is now standard across the range.
The cabin has also been redesigned with comfort and practicality in mind, featuring improved seating, increased headroom and a larger cargo opening to make loading everything from everyday essentials to adventure gear easier.
