Meet the New XPENG L03
With four variants confirmed for New Zealand, the L03 has been designed to offer options for a wide range of driving needs – from everyday urban travel to longer journeys and high-performance all-wheel-drive driving.

Four XPENG L03 Variants for New Zealand
The XPENG L03 will be available in four variants:
L03 RWD Standard Range – from $49,990 + ORC
An accessible entry into the L03 range, designed for efficient everyday electric driving.
L03 RWD Long Range – from $54,990 + ORC
Offering additional EV range for drivers looking for greater flexibility across everyday trips and longer journeys.
L03 AWD Performance Ultra – from $64,990 + ORC
The performance-focused model in the range, combining all-wheel drive with the L03’s extensive equipment and technology.
L03 PowerX Long Range – from $49,990 + ORC
A range-extended electric option combining electric motor drive with XPENG’s Kunpeng Super Electric System.
Introducing XPENG PowerX Long Range
One of the biggest additions to the L03 range is the PowerX Long Range, which introduces XPENG’s range-extended electric technology to New Zealand.
Unlike a conventional hybrid where the petrol engine can drive the wheels, the L03 PowerX Long Range is propelled by its electric motor. Its range extender is used to generate additional energy, providing greater flexibility when travelling longer distances.
XPENG’s Kunpeng Super Electric System combines a large battery, efficient range extender and AI-powered energy management. The system coordinates energy use across different driving environments, including city, highway and climbing conditions, to help optimise efficiency, performance and available range.
Starting from $49,990 + ORC, the PowerX Long Range is priced alongside the RWD Standard Range, giving New Zealand buyers another approach to electrified driving.
Intelligent Driver Assistance
The L03 features XPENG’s XPILOT suite of driver-assistance technologies, designed to support the driver during everyday journeys.
Depending on specification, features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering, Lane Change Assistance, Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Emergency Lane Keeping and Intelligent Parking Assistance.
Additional safety and assistance technology includes a Driver Monitoring System, front and rear cross-traffic alerts, Door Opening Warning, a 360-degree camera and parking sensors.
XPILOT is a driver-assistance system only, and the driver remains responsible for the vehicle at all times.
XOS 6 and Connected Technology
The XPENG L03 also introduces XOS 6, XPENG’s latest smart cabin operating system.
Navigation, connectivity, voice interaction and vehicle controls are brought together within one digital environment, while over-the-air software update capability allows compatible vehicle software to evolve over time.
Google Maps integration provides native navigation and intelligent charging-route planning, with navigation information available across the instrument cluster, centre display and head-up display.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also supported, alongside wireless smartphone charging and app-based vehicle controls.
Designed for Everyday Comfort
With a 2,850 mm wheelbase and seating for five, the XPENG L03 combines a spacious cabin with dimensions designed to work across urban driving, family use and longer journeys.
At the centre of the intelligent cockpit is a 15.6-inch touchscreen, complemented by natural voice interaction and connected vehicle technology.
Cabin features include heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof, 256-colour interactive ambient lighting and 37 storage spaces throughout the vehicle.
XPENG L03 Warranty
The XPENG L03 is backed by XPENG’s manufacturer warranty programme, including:
- 7-year/unlimited kilometre vehicle warranty for private owners
- 7 years of roadside assistance for retail buyers
- 7-year/160,000 km vehicle warranty for commercial use, whichever occurs first
- 8-year/160,000 km warranty covering the traction battery, Battery Management System, drive motor and Intelligent Power Unit, whichever occurs first
- 5-year/unlimited kilometre paint warranty
- 7-year/unlimited kilometre anti-corrosion and anti-rust warranty
For battery-electric L03 variants, the recommended service interval is every 12 months or 20,000 km, whichever comes first.

Pre-orders for the new XPENG L03 open in New Zealand from 24 September 2026.
Delivery timing is still to be announced by XPENG Australia and New Zealand.
